Superhero Magnet Set

I have a few friends who love my magnet creations and tend to keep me busy and challenged with custom orders.  This superhero (and super villain) set is no exception. I think my personal favorite is Wolverine although I love how they all came out.

On a whim, I decided I want to create a piece of felt art for my friend for her birthday.  She has an obsession with nuns and with my warped sense of humor, I decided to stitch her a Nunja.  You know, cause I'm weird and quirky like that.  Turns out, she loved it!  Winner!

Kawaii Sweets Magnet Set

I made this super duper cute Kawaii Sweets magnet set several weeks ago.  It stemmed from a request of a pastry tart and then my mind started wandering and the next you know, a new magnet set was born!  The best thing about this collection that includes a frosted pastry, a chocolate chip cookie, an ice cream cone, a doughnut and a cupcake is that it contains ZERO calories!

Panda Pincushion Wristlet

What time is it?  It's Panda Time!  Well, sort of.  I had a custom request the other day for a panda pin cushion similar to the magnets I made but to be worn on the wrist.  It turned out might cute if I do say so myself!  

Mickey Cup Cozy

I recently made a Mickey Mouse themed cup cozy for my friend for her birthday.  She loves Disney, loves purple and loves coffee.  I found this tutorial a couple of years ago but never got around to doing anything with it until her birthday.  I also didn't have a paper cup to wrap it around with so I wrapped it around her Starbucks gift card instead.

This was actually pretty fun to make.  I think I am going to experiment with my own designs as it will make a great gift and will be more environmentally friendly without having to use the cardboard sleeves coffee shops provide. 

Scientist Magnet

What started out as request for one scientist turned into a magnet set once my imagination started working.  It all started with this Einstein magnets I made a few weeks ago.  After that post, that magnet set was sold and went to a new home.  Another request came in for the Einstein magnets along with one of Nikola Tesla and his coil.  My challenge was to figure out how to make the coil, well, look like a coil.  While brainstorming, I knew I had to add Sheldon Cooper.  Can't have great scientists in a set without including Sheldon Cooper :)

Monkey Speech Bubble Magnet Set

I loved the Einstein Speech Bubble magnet set I made recently.  It made me giggle.  A few days ago, I'd gotten in order from my etsy shop (shameless plug :)) for a monkey magnet and while working on the magnet, my thoughts kept drifting back to the Einstein magnets.  So from that point, I knew the monkey needed a speech bubble of his own.  What does society say monkeys should speak about?  Why, bananas of course!

Albert Einstein Magnets!

I had the idea to make this Einstein magnet set when I was working on these breakfast magnets.  Not sure how breakfast and science are related but I must have been thinking about apples and such which lead to Newton's Laws of Motion.  No, not really but it sounded good to type it out. Teehee.

For this set, I used a jumbo cap from a peanut butter jar to make Einstein and just a normal bottle cap from a Gatorade jar.  Einstein is approximately 3 inches in diameter and is 3.5 inches in height with hair.  The relativity theory speech bubble is about 2.5 inches wide and 1.85 inches in diameter.

Winking Breakfast Magnets

One can never have too many kawaii food magnets.  Especially when they are a winking breakfast magnet set.  The set includes bacon, coffee, cereal, toast and a sunny side up egg.  The bowl of cereal has beaded "cereal".  Each magnet measures approximately 1.75 inches in diameter.

Just wanted to share a custom request for this pink I Heart Boba phone cozy for an iPhone 4.  I love making anything that has to do with boba! 

Cherry Pie for the Elf!

A while back, my friend's mom bought a Christmas elf on clearance for dirt cheap but the pie it was supposed to have was missing so she asked me to make her one and here is the result. A perfect fit if I do say so myself!

Halloween Monsters 2012

 I made some new Halloween magnets for this year.  I started out making the Bride and then there was a request for Frankenstein's Monster and from there, this set was born as another request.  For me, every day is Halloween so I hope to eventually be able to add a Wolfman, Swamp Thing and maybe even Cthulthu monster!
