Button Closure Phone Case

Made this turquoise and orange case last week for a friend for her new phone.  There's an extra pocket to stash some cash for those quick runs to the store when you don't want to bring your purse. I also added in a button and elastic closure to keep it closed.

Kawaii Strawberry Phone Wristlet

Here's an adorable (if I do say so myself) kawaii strawberry wristlet I made.  It has two compartments inside to hold your phone and your cash/plastic money with a snap button closure and ribbon to wear the wristlet.  I also used beads for the seed detailing on both sides.  I made this out of felt and it was entirely handstitched.  I liked it so much that I also made a monkey one but I don't have pics of that one yet :)

The above strawberry phone wristlet is available for purchase for $24 and is ready to be shipped.  Please send me an email to joyce [at]  asianinvasionsaloon [dot] com if you are interested or you can contact me through facebook.

Don't forget that I will be starting my 30 Day Pinterest Craft Challenge on Aug. 1st :)

30 Day Pinterest Craft Challenge

I am going to put this out here before I chicken out and change my mind :)  Starting Aug 1, I will be challenging myself with a 30 Day Pinterest Craft Challenge.  August has 31 days so I will allow myself one free day since I do work full time and pick up extra massage work on my days off :)  For the entire month of August, I will pick a pin from my Future Projects board and make my version of it.  I will post my results on my blog and will link the posts here as well.  Wish me luck!  Follow me if you would like to see what projects I have in store for myself :)

Dec 2012 update:
The 30 Day Pnterest Craft Challenge was a fail lol.  I only managed to make stuff for roughly half the month but I enjoyed the challenge so much that I decided to make this an ongoing thing and not just limited to 30 days.  To see what I've made from the Pinterest pins I found, go here :)

Kawaii Fruit!

They say the recommended fruit servings per day is two.  Take your pick of these no calories and too cute to eat jumbo fruity magnets.

It's Springtime!

I made these Kawaii Springtime magnet set recently to celebrate the warmer weather even though the weather is currently bipolar. Can you see just how happy the Daisy is?

Lovebug Magnet!

One of the things I plan on making is a cute bug magnet set which will include a butterfly, a dragonfly and a bee. Just need one more cute bug to add to the set.

Happy Almost Halloween!

Although I don't partake in the costumes, I love Halloween because of the creepy (but cute!) decor and also because it takes place in the Fall (one of my favorite seasons). Of course, I can't also not make any Halloween stuff :)

I just finished making a Halloween bottle cap magnet set. I may be a little biased but I am really loving the new magnets :) Click on the picture to take you to the Etsy listing for more details.

Wonk Wonk Wonk

Who as a child (or adult!) didn't play PacMan in the 80s? It was (and still is) one of my favorite arcade games. I remember as a kid being at the dentist and playing PacMan until they called me in for my dreaded orthodontist appointment. They sure knew how to take a kid off her mind with an arcade machine!

Making this felt PacMan with pellet beads does take me back to the 80s. I can do without the skinny pants and should pads though :)

Kawaii Bear Billfold Wallet

It pretty much took me all day in between doing other stuff, but I spent my 4th of July holiday making this billfold wallet for a coworker for her birthday. She had originally wanted to commission me to make this wallet a few months ago but we never got around to finalizing anything so I decided to surprise her the next time I see her at work.

I'm pretty proud of how this turned out seeing this was my first time making this type of wallet. I could have made things a lot easier if I machine stitched everything but I like sewing by hand. The internal blue compartment and white card pockets were machine stitched to give it a cleaner look. Everything else was hand stitched. I didn't like the back of the wallet to be plain so I decided to put her initials within a fluffy cloud to give a little bit of personalization.

I am pretty sure the next few billfolds I make will not take me all day to make just one :)

Custom Owl Gift Card Holder

This was actually requested to give as a Christmas present but I just found the pictures on my camera and had forgotten about them until I used my camera today. Bad me.
